Viewing Individual Trip Data

A guide on viewing the details of a single trip

Individual Trip Data

Clicking the magnifying glass icon will allow you to see the details of any individual trip. You can also view multiple trips by selecting the checkboxes of the trips you would like to view (on the left of the magnifying glass icon), and then selecting the magnifying glass for the trip you would like to view first. Once you have begun viewing the selected trip, use the arrow buttons next to the trip number at the top of the page to quickly step through the trips you selected.

Individual trip data is represented in several forms, viewed by selecting the tabs at the top of the page.

The View Data tabs

Alarms

The “Alarms” tab displays the parameters and values of the current temperature plan along with the measured values for the selected trip.

A sample alarms page.

The % exposure columns show a percentage of exposure based on the temperature plan. The Rule% column will show the exposure % for that individual temperature range. The Group% column will show the cumulative exposure % for the entire group of temperature ranges. The exposure % will show as:

Green between 0% and 33.3%

Yellow between 33.3% and 66.6%

Orange between 66.6% and 100%

Red above 100%

Terms highlighted in orange/red have a measured value that is outside of the temperature configuration setting; this is an “alarm”. Alarms can be configured to alert a phone number or email at customer request.

You can also use the drop-down menu at the bottom of the chart to change the selected temperature plan for the data. This only changes the temperature plan for the individual trip you are currently viewing. To change the temperature plan on multiple trips, see the guide on the view data reporting options.

Graph

The “Graph” tab displays the individual data points plotted on a graph showing temperature on the y-axis and time on the x-axis.

A sample graph page from a completed trip.

The trip is shown in chronological order, with the start of the trip on the left side and the end of the trip on the right. Each point on the graph represents a data point, which is the temperature recorded by the logger at a specific time. The area of the graph in green represents the ideal temperature range. The purple bands on the graph represent event markers during the trip. Each band has a number above it that corresponds to one of the purple boxes above the graph, showing what event the band represents. You can also hover your mouse over an event marker to see more information on that event.

You can also hover your mouse over individual data points to reveal more info on that specific data point.

The settings below the graph allows you to select various time intervals for the graph. The default date range will automatically show the data from the trip start to trip end, but user entered dates can be useful in focusing the graph if irrelevant data exists in the trip, or if the log interval is very short and data points are very close together. User entered start and end dates can be adjusted by the user by simply using your mouse to highlight which parts of the graph you want to see. Click yes when prompted to recalculate the trip, or the “save” icon if unprompted.

System Start/Stop date is only applicable to companies with an external database integration. Depending on the application, trip start/stop dates can be automatically set based on database variables. Contact TempTRIP support to discuss options for custom database integration.

Shelf Life

The “Shelf Life” tab displays the remaining shelf life of the product based on the initial shelf life value, the Activation Energy (Ea), and the temperatures the product experienced during the trip. Both the initial shelf life value and the activation energy of a product are determined scientifically from external sources and can be set with the help of a TempTrip representative.

Events

The “Events” tab provides more in-depth data on each event during a logger's trip. For each event there will be a location, a date and time, and an event type. This tab also shows the associated Reader ID and any reference numbers linked to the event, but only when available.

A sample events tab

Configuration and shipment events are done by TempTrip through our logistics centers. A tracking event notes when a tag is sensed by a TempTrip reader, but data is not transferred. A read event notes the location and time when a tag connects and transfers data to a TempTrip reader.

Data

The “Data” tab displays every data point collected by the tag from trip start to trip end. The data points will be organized in chronological order and numbered in the data point column.

A sample data tab

The temperature column shows what temperature was sensed by the tag. The status column shows the temperature range allowed by the temperature plan associated with the tag. The date/time column will show the exact date and time the data point was collected by the tag.

Data points with temperatures within the "Ideal" temperature range will show their temperature readings in green font and will have a blank space in the "status" column.

Tag Information

The “Tag Information” tab displays a complete list of tag information for the selected trip, such as the tag and session ID’s, the number of data points collected, the battery level of the tag, and other tag details.

Does any more of the info need to be explained? How much of this is useful to the customer?

Comments

The “Comments” tab allows you to add and view detailed notes for an individual trip. To add a comment, type the desired comment in the text field and press the button. Previous comments will show the user and time/date of when they were created.

Custom Data

The “Custom Data” tab displays any custom data associated with the trip such as reference ID’s, customer information, driver information, and other trip information.
